Job Title: Finance & Accounting Special Projects Co-op

Days: Monday - Friday Hours Per Week: 40

Time Commitment to Position: 1 year Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm

Work Environment: Working in a professional office environment. Very team oriented. Can be demanding at times due to deadlines. Business casual attire. Occasional overtime. This position has regular contact with upper management.

Job Summary: The Special Projects co-op is responsible for all aspects of the asset disposal process for all technology equipment throughout the Air Region. In addition, this position is responsible for working with one other person on a monthly reconciliation for over 25K airline parts. Assistance with all annual physical inventory audits within the Air Region is also a primary responsibility.

Job Description: This position requires the use of a number of systems to determine the quantity of technology assets that are to be written off each month. Responsible for auditing the airline parts inventory data to what is in the Fixed Asset General Ledger system on a monthly basis and prepare variance analysis on any issues.

Required Skills: At least 2 years completed towards a BS/BA in a business field (accounting, finance, economics etc). Proficient in MS Office applications and excellent customer service. Must have strong financial analysis skills. Proficient understanding of accounting principles.

Additional Skills: Knowledge of F&A information systems and reporting tools ( Khalix, Oracle general ledger, Financial Data Mart). Ability to identify and lead process improvement opportunities.

Interpersonal Skills: Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to manage multiple tasks successfully and possess good planning and organizational skills. Must be a team player with a positive attitude.

Skills Assessments Requirements: Must complete skills assessment to determine knowledge level in Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word before close date and time.
