The MPM will be responsible for leading numerous PGS marketing efforts associated with development and commercialization of new and existing products and services for all F series gas turbines. Be fully engaged in the NPI tollgate process for all F series programs. In particular, participate and be the PGS voice and marketing content provider.
Market sizing and timing, region dynamics & trends
Create differentiated value proposition, market segmentation
Be responsible for customer and competitive insights
Be responsible for financial forecasting and customer economic analysis
Commercialize planning and budgeting
For certain key programs, lead all of the early stage (TG 1&2) deliverables including development and presentation of the business case to include sales & margin projections, estimated cost and payback / IRR analysis
Promote a market backed approach to NPI by working with regional Business Intelligence (BI) and Sales teams to better understand global revenue and margin forecasts for potential new offering; this should take into account macro factors as well as customer insights (through on-going studies) and sales insights (through discovery process)
Assist with development of new tools, templates and best practices to facilitate NPI development for Product Line Management, Engineering, Marketing and Communications
Coordinate with Communications develop and implement sales tools and materials in support of sales training, lead generation and order conversion; this could include development of content and value propositions for the inclusion into communications-lead activities such as fact sheets, brochures, and other media and public relations (PR)
Assist with monitoring and tracking of all NPI programs with focus on timing, cost and revenue / margin estimates. Also be engaged with efforts to enhance these metrics
Understand the global installed base fleet and factors impacting their operation and probable appetite for various types of uprates – output, heat rate, availability, emissions etc. (use this information to craft and shape future NPI offerings)
Support all initiatives around new idea generation
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience with strong marketing functional domain knowledge and analytical skills
