Johnson & Johnson Los Angeles Plant develops, manufactures and markets premium skin and hair care products sold worldwide and recommended by medical professionals. The product line includes bar and liquid cleansers, shampoo, hand cream, body lotion, facial moisturizers, sun protection and cosmetics, as well as other hair and skin care products.

Johnson & Johnson Los Angeles Plant is currently seeking a Facilities Technician

To perform this job successfully, the Facilities Technician must Comply and adhere to cGMP's, GDP's, OSHA requirements, Johnson & Johnson Environmental Requirements, State & Federal regulations, Safety Requirements (LOTO), and Neutrogena's Quality Compliance. Operate, manage, monitor, and maintain storm water flows, hazardous waste disposition, wastewater streams, and energy programs. Manage, monitor, and maintain purified water systems. Operate, manage, monitor, and maintain steam generators (boilers). Repair and maintain Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. Operate, manage, monitor, and maintain plant compressed air systems. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Exhibit safe work habits (lock out tag out) when handling equipment and tools and by correctly using protective safety equipment, comply with Neutrogena's quality compliance policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as safety and environmental regulatory procedures, monitor and trouble shoot all the plant critical equipment and systems, perform daily plant checks using GDPs and respond to systems & equipment failures in a timely manner, operate and maintain the facility waste water treatment system, purified water systems, compressors, boilers, HVAC systems, cooling towers, rebuild, repair, replace, and maintain pumps, seals, motors, valves, and relevant piping, clean, confirm calibration, repair or replace pH probes throughout the systems.

Collect and manage disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, record daily and periodic actions in logbooks using GDPs, divert storm water run-off, monitor and control waste water flows, perform minor repairs to Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, including boilers and chillers, perform equipment and systems PMs (preventive maintenance) as per schedule in a timely manner, use plant's maintenance program to report and document any corrective or emergency work done on any of the critical systems, continuously update knowledge of Environmental and Department of Transportation regulations related to waste water treatment, hazardous and non-hazardous waste management and disposal, maintain a professional housekeeping system for workspace and related areas to assure a clean, orderly, safe and secure environment, maintain equipment and work areas clean and organize utilizing 5S principles.

Update knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO, and environmental and safety regulations, stay current with the plant's training curriculum and certifications requirements, report to the worksite in response to after-hours urgent or emergency situations, order required repair parts and operating supplies, organize and inventory repair parts and supplies, maintain and update knowledge, skills and certifications in facility maintenance, participate in engineering projects and work with other groups or contractors to achieve plants goals, perform other duties as assigned by management.


Minimum Experience includes a High School diploma or general education degree (GED); preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. (3) years of related work experience in plant facilities work environment required. Usage of CMCS to perform preventative maintenance work preferred. Experience performing minor repairs to Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, including boilers and chillers required, Experience performing equipment and systems PMs (preventive maintenance) required, Knowledge of Maximo to report and document corrective or emergency work performed on critical systems required
