Luckman Fine Arts Complex

Salary Range: $8.00- $110.00/Hour

Work Schedule: Hours to be arranged, on-call; non-exempt classification. Temporary position ends on/or before June 30, 2013; may be extended; non-exempt classification.

Essential Job Functions: Under the direction of the Luckman Technical Director, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the Luckman Fine Arts Complex facilities and their contents, as well as the facility users. The incumbent performs difficult and responsible work which requires knowledge and/or experience and good judgment. The incumbent assists with various technical duties as assigned: locking and unlocking facilities; supervises performing arts assistants, facility manager assistants, and student assistants during events; handles problems that arise during the course of the event; enforces University policy and operating procedures; handles user complaints; completes Event Report forms to document usage, attendance, unusual occurrences, etc.; performs facility equipment set up (construction of properties and sets, sound equipment, hanging and focusing of lights, etc.). Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience: Equivalent to two years of college coursework in theatre or four years of professional experience working for a theatre, repertory or stock company engaged in an applicable production specialty such as costume construction, stage and set construction, lighting production and/or sound/audio production. Some supervisory experience may be required. Must have the ability to: work effectively under pressure; accept and carry out instructions; work well with other personnel and meet production deadlines.

Employment in these positions may expire on or before the expiration date or may be extended. Future temporary positions are contingent upon the availability of funds and operational needs of the University.
