Division Chief of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery
The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida is seeking a candidate to serve as Chief of Division of Thoracic and Cardiovascular ( TCV ) Surgery. The position is tenure-accruing with an open rank. The individual will lead a Division of cardiothoracic surgeons and a high volume clinical enterprise. Highly qualified candidates will have demonstrated expertise in clinical care, funded research and resident education. Previous administrative experience is preferred. Excellent communication skills and evidence of collaborative work are necessary. Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience and expertise. The clinical mission will be at the Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, the primary teaching hospital for the College of Medicine, and the adjacent Malcom Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The successful candidate for this position will be board certified with a demonstrated commitment to the development of an academic division through research, teaching and clinical practice
