This position requires stooping, kneeling, bending, manual dexterity, repetitive hand and arm coordination, finger dexterity, vision acuity both far and near with depth perception. Will be exposed to dust, fumes or gases occasionally. JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Display positive guest and employee relations at all times.2.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.3. Participates in the orientation and training of new personnel.4. Assist in stocking all beverages, food and service items in the cafÃ© and dining room.5. Cleans and sanitizes cafeteria, dining room, tables, windows, floors.
6. Maintains sanitation in cafeteria and dining room throughout the day including breakfast and lunch meal.7. Notifies Environmental Services, Facilities and Security whenever their assistance is needed.8. Maintains sanitation standards.9.
Mops kitchen, cooler, freezer and office floors as scheduled.10. Assists in preparing patient coffee and ice tea as needed for tray line.11. Assists with patient meal tray service. 12.
Delivers late tray service to nursing units.13. Cleans all service ware in dishroom14. Cleans and sanitizes pots and pans.15. Cleans and sanitizes all department equipment, food carts, patient meal carts, coolers, freezers, warmers, tray line, dishroom.
16. Serves in cafeteria on hot food line.17. Assures proper food portions and presentation of food.18. Monitor inventories for safe food handling practices.19.
Implementing and maintain HACCP controls.20. Accountable for ensuring food receiving and storage are in compliance with regulatory standards, e.g. JCAHO, CMS, Texas Department of Health and City Health Department of North Richland Hills and HACCP.21. Attendance and being on time, ready to work scheduled hours is an essential job function.22.
Assists in other areas of Food & Nutrition Services as needed.23. Works to create a team environment with all team members.
