The City of Fort Worth seeks a Field Operations Crew Leader to supervise crews, assist with performance evaluations, schedules, reports, and maintain policies and procedures. To supervise, assign, review and participate in the work of employees responsible for various construction, maintenance, and repair activities related to the Street Services Division; to ensure work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures; and to perform the more technical and complex tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

Skills / Requirements The following education and/or experience are the minimum standards which provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this position:
High School Diploma, or GED Certificate with specialized training in field construction, maintenance, repair, or operational activities related to street services PLUS two (2) years of responsible experience in field construction, maintenance, repair or operational activities related to the Street Services Division required. Preference may be given to higher levels of education and experience directly related to the vacancy.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: MS Word, Excel and office skills strongly preferred. Prefer applicants with one (1) year of supervisory experience and the ability to train and supervise others. The successful candidates will have knowledge of equipment usage (e.g.: motor graders, gradalls, chainsaws, backhoes, loaders, dump trucks, etc.). Possession of a valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL -A) required. Must have a CDL-A at the time of hire. Acceptable driving record and the ability to pass DOT physiWork schedule will consist of four 10 hour days and may require responding to after hour emergencies. WORKING CONDITIONS
Outdoor environment specific to assigned responsibilities; exposure to inclement weather conditions, exposure to chemicals, toxic materials, and water as related to assigned tasks; exposure to dust, dirt, noise, vibrations, and fumes; may be required to work in confined space; working with machinery; hazards associated with operating a motor vehicle.
Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods of time; moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; climbing, kneeling, crawling, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling; general manual dexterity; adequate speech, vision, and hearing required; must be able to operate assigned equipment and vehicles.
