DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs analysis of financial statements and reports, preparation of work papers, schedules, graphs, charts and reports for the 1115 Waiver Project. Assists department program representatives in the analysis of financial programs and evaluated processes and procedures. Analyzes financial statements and reports utilizing SAP. Prepares interpretations of analysis and submits recommendations. Assists in the design and development of financial policies and procedures. Performs other duties and special projects as requested.
The position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Four years of professional experience in finance, economics, budget analysis or a closely related area are required.
A Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a closely related field may be substituted for two years of the above experience requirement.
MINIMUM LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
Position requires following knowledge, skills and abilities in the following:
• Experience in analysis and preparation of financial reports.
• Experience using SAP and data analysis of SAP financial reports
• Skill in writing, editing, delivering training and producing reports.
• Requires excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex technical ideas and vision to various audiences, Microsoft Word to create reports, PowerPoint to create presentations.
• Experience using Microsoft Office such as Excel to create graphs, charts input formulas and link data in statistical reports
• Ability to build and develop collaborative relationships within all levels of the organization.
**Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.**
SELECTION/SKILLS TESTS REQUIRED
None. However, the Department may administer a skills assessment test.

This position is not subject to random drug testing if a promotional position, candidate must pass an assignment drug test.
SALARY INFORMATION: SPECIAL FUNDED POSITION
Special funded positions are dependent upon continued available funds. If funding is no longer available, employee may be laid off or transferred. Factors used in determining the salary offered include the candidate's qualifications as well as the pay rates of other employees in this classification. The salary range is:
Salary Range - Pay Grade 21
