The College of Nursing is recruiting a financial analyst to provide day to day financial administration and management support. The college has an active research portfolio of 95 grant awards totaling $60 million. This position will oversee budgets and facilitate financial transactions; implement and assist with developing internal control procedures; provide analyses for preparation of grant budgets including discussions on prioritization and programmatic goals; prepare monthly reconciliations and financial reports; serve as a resource to the research community of the college on financial and administrative matters; partner and manage relationships with NYU research offices to ensure smooth workflows; apply and maintain departmental, institutional and federal compliance as applicable.

Qualifications/Required Education:
Bachelor's degree

Preferred Education:

Required Experience:
3 years' relevant financial management experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience with expense review, financial analysis and budget management.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in an academic/higher education setting. Experience with sponsored project financial management.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with Windows-based software applications, including proficiency with database and spreadsheet software
