Learn to perform institutional, cafeteria style cooking for the Kentucky School for the Blind. Perform routine work in the preparation and serving of food for the Kentucky School for the Blind.
Operate the main dishwasher, keep area clean and orderly, wash dishes, stack and sort trays, silverware and glassware.
Sweep and mop floors in kitchen area and restrooms as needed.
Maintain restroom supplies and cleanliness.
Remove garbage from kitchen and dish area.
Bring up milk and juice from storage area, check all liquid dispensers for cleanliness and temperature and inform manager when supplies need to be ordered.
Serve on the line or assist in preparation of food if needed.
Replenish chemicals for dish machine, compartment sinks and drains of the facility and replace soap as needed.
Assist with banquets, meetings, receptions and other functions as needed.
Assist in primary school cafeteria as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned. Selection Method : Qualifying: All candidates who apply and meet the minimum requirements are eligible for placement on the register for hiring consideration.
