Downtown Project is looking for ahighly organized, wildly passionate Full Charge Bookkeeper. Due to our explosive growth, we are looking for anindividual who is extremely flexible, eager to tackle new challenges,and comfortable working in an unconventional (but super fun)environment.

Here are the details:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review and maintain general ledger and chart of accounts
  • Post all adjusting journal entries and accrual
  • Financial statement preparation
  • Perform bank, credit card and general ledger accounts reconciliation
  • Maintain A/P and A/R, fixed assets and inventory
  • Assist in preparation of sales tax reporting
  • Assist with budget preparation and monthly budget variance analyses
  • Research, Track, and Resolve accounting problems and discrepancies
  • Assist in producing reports on a regular and ad hoc basis

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or 5+ years of accounting related experience
  • Strong attention to detail is required
  • Must be able to work independently and a team player
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred, Intermediate skills required (vLookups and data calculation/manipulation is required)
  • Experience with Quickbook Premier or Enterprise is required
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and be comfortable in a fast-paced working environment,
