Upon direction/approval of management, may perform, adjustments and repairs to manual and automatic equipment used in the support of wafer fabrication process for the 8 inch wafer fab operation. Tasks include but are not limited to the service and maintenance of burn boxes, rebuilding of sources, maintenance of MDA toxic gas monitor tapes, and the maintenance and servicing of pumps.
Cleans equipment and parts, including but not limited to vacuum lines, scrubbers, polytube/boats, and bead blast/implant source.
Maintains assigned Fabrication area in a clean and orderly condition which may include the painting or washing of equipment.
Conducts appropriate preventive maintenance as scheduled.
Must be knowledgeable of Hazmat requirements for their area and serve as a member of the Hazmat team
Works from verbal or written instructions, blueprints, line drawings or sketches.
Will communicate in a timely and thorough fashion with all internal customers and team members.
Must assure compliance with all safety standards and participate in monitoring them.
Uses quality techniques in performance of assigned tasks.
Obtains and maintains all required skill certifications.
Is responsible for maintaining clean room protocols.
They are expected to participate in a team environment and utilize the team approach to problem solving.
May assist technician or on-site vendor to troubleshoot, repair or replace subfab equipment.
May perform other duties as assigned by management.
Assists and instructs new and lesser skilled employees in operations.
May assist Maintenance Mechanic and Utility Associate as a backup when necessary.
May assist in rebuilding of manufacturing probe cards.

External candidates must have a minimum of one year experience in the repair, maintenance, calibration and testing of equipment used in manufacturing.
Internal candidates must have a minimum of 6 months experience labor grade 210 (Equipment Repairer) or higher.
Two year technical degree. Preference given to those degrees focused in electronics, electro-mechanical technology or a related field. Post secondary education requirements may be waived if the individual, through work experience, can be skill certified on all required tasks.
