As a primary Facilities & Services commodity knowledge resource in Accenture's Procurement BPO organization, the

F&S Regional Category Director (NA)

will apply commodity knowledge to support pre-sales activities, knowledge capital development, sourcing project execution, and sourcing consulting services to enhance the value we provide to our clients and differentiate the Accenture service offering. Responsible for working with external and internal clients to identify and execute sourcing solutions to drive down forecasted spend for the client, provide vendor performance and contract management advice, and develop recommendations for managing procurement processes and spend. In addition, may also lead or participate in formal sourcing supplier selection and negotiation activities.

Key responsibilities:
Drives adoption and increases account penetration within existing clients by establishing industry credibility and overall category knowledge

Works with senior functional group leaders from Global 500 companies to develop strategic sourcing strategies aimed at reducing costs and improving supply chain efficiency

Supports strategic sourcing project teams to ensure commodity knowledge is applied to all sourcing engagements, and to ensure that clients receive a consistent level of expertise

Supports Accenture's sales organization during sales cycles to insert Accenture's category knowledge and help drive commercial success

Assesses risks and success factors for incoming sourcing engagements to ensure that:

o The sourcing project will likely meet clients expectations

o The market and supply base dynamics are understood

Develops and documents sourcing best practices through creation of knowledge documents

Assists in the development and delivery of new service offerings where category knowledge is required

Quickly develops expertise in categories where there is limited internal knowledge as client needs arise

Travel requirement:
Ability to travel up to or more than 50% of the time


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree

Minimum 4 years leading a team

Minimum 5 years in a professional services firm

Minimum 10 years strategic sourcing/procurement experience, specifically in the facilities and real estate services category

Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent communication and client service skills

Strong analytical, organizational, and presentation skills

Proven leadership ability

Deep strategic sourcing experience preferred in all of the following Facilities and Real Estate Services spend areas:

o Full Outsource Integrated Real Estate Service Providers

o General Facilities Maintenance

o Janitorial Services

o Security Services

o Landscaping

o Waste Management

o Office Supplies

o Mailroom Services

o Food Services/Catering

o Utilities/Energy Management

Technical procurement background

MBA preferred

CPM and/or CPIM certification preferred

Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian

Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
