UGL Services Unicco Operations has an immediate opening for a Facilities Care Associate in Airflite, CA.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Assists one or more mechanics and/or electricians in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill. May be assigned to such activities as moving furniture on an as needed basis. The kind of work the helper performs varies from trade to trade.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned including but not limited to replacing incandescent and fluorescent light bulbs, performing light carpentry work, painting, sweeping, mopping, and shampooing carpet
2. Ensure that all parking lots and walkways are clear of leaves, trash other debris to insure safe easy access into and exiting facilities.
3. Assists with general maintenance work, moving and lifting equipment and materials, rubbish removal, care of buildings and grounds as directed.
4. Set up and move furniture and materials, including equipment that requires special handling.
5. Maintain cleanliness of buildings to include making sure carpet is clean and free of debris, glass is free of spots and hand prints, bathrooms are clean and fully stocked, break areas are clean and trash cans in buildings are emptied.
6. Assist the AV Personnel in performing in meeting and event set-ups and completing requests.
7. Performs other related functions as required or directed by UGL Management.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Ensure compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
2. Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
3. Communications with all team members to support the development of short and long range planning in support of the company’s goals and objectives
4. Maintain personal tools required for your job to include an up to date documented personal tool lists. Required tool listing to be supplied as part of employment.
5. Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, efficient manner.
6. Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.
7. Must maintain positive customer and employee relations
REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education and/or Experience):
SAFETY – PERFORM WORK SAFELY WITHOUT INJURY: Utilize all safety practices appropriate to the work being done. Attend, pay attention and participate in safety meetings and training. Observe and report safety violations. Use fall protection equipment and work on elevated areas.
PROCESSING PAPERWORK TIMELY and COMPLETELY: Submit work orders with time, comments, and signature on day work is completed. Fill out purchase requisition for all purchases.
CUSTOMER SATISFACTION – CREATE SATISFACTION WITH WORK PERFORMED: Perform work requested in time allotted. Communicate the completion of the work.
EDUCATIONAL (Vocational and Technical Included - High school education or GED.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE.
Must have knowledge of the tools required to perform necessary work.
