In fact, Southwestern Energy was the first to discover the economic viability of the Fayetteville Shale and successfully produce its gas. We are currently the largest producer in the Fayetteville Shale. In a few short years, we have surpassed 1 Bcfd and have invested more than $6 billion in this expanding operation in Arkansas. Our work is also well known in the Arkoma Basin in Western Arkansas, East Texas, and we have recently begun exploratory efforts in Pennsylvania’s exciting new Marcellus Shale and in New Brunswick, Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supports the full cycle project requirements including concept initiation, cost and economic analysis, and evaluates water supply, storage, transfer/distribution and treatment schemes with a focus on the operational aspects of the projects
  • Assists in preparing budget data, evaluating financial information, and preparing business and technical evaluations
  • Possess excellent communication skills and leadership style, focusing on team building
  • Responsible for the implementation, budgeting and forecasting of Water Team construction projects and daily field work
  • Responsible for the cost tracking of construction services and projects provided to other team members or departments
  • Responsible for estimating/tracking water transfer costs including freshwater, shallow groundwater, flowback water, and produced water
  • Will support the design of systems to reduce the operational costs to transfer and store water including freshwater, shallow groundwater, flowback water, and produced water
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
  • Must have a minimum of 4 to 7 years experience in engineering/construction or related field, and must be adaptable to change in a rapidly changing business/industry environment
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills together with the ability to multi-task, be team oriented, with the desire to learn and to mentor
  • Must have a basic understanding of most water management techniques and technologies as well as a strong background in the design/selection of cost effective water transfer/transmission (pumps, pipeline, etc.) systems as well as water treatment systems as well as civil site design
  • Candidate will implement a continual improvement program to support the construction activities of the Water Team Management on behalf of Southwestern Energy
