The Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall coordination and direct supervision of ground support equipment personnel and facilities personnel.
Manage a wide range and variety of maintenance, preventative maintenance and, repair operations necessary to keep company property, equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating condition.
Oversee the maintenance of all ground support equipment (GSE) and vehicles, as well as motorized and non-motorized equipment (such as ladders, jacks, stands, etc).
Plan and schedule Ground Service Equipment (GSE) maintenance and preventative maintenance activities to minimize disruption to operation.
Ensure fuel supply for all equipment is available and that vehicles and motorized equipment are properly fueled at all times.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate general facilities preventative maintenance, major repairs, and cleaning.
Establish schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel.
Liaise with third party vendors for major mechanical repairs, installation, and/or electrical repairs.
Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes.
Manage staff, prepare work schedules, and assign specific duties.
Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.
Maintain equipment and maintenance records to meet Commercial Jet and OSHA safety and quality compliance standards.
Maintain records of rental equipment or usage activity, special permits issued, maintenance and operating costs, or property availability.
Liaise with Contracted Facilities Cleaning crew as it relates to office/facilities cleaning and upkeep.
Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner.
Maintain collaborative relationship with all other departments
Inspect facilities and equipment routinely to determine necessity of repairs or preventative maintenance.
Diagnose causes of malfunctions of equipment, machinery or processes and determine corrective action to include seeking vendor assistance.
Tear down, replace, repair, install, and assemble equipment, parts, components, and accessories. Develop and fabricate accessory fixtures or guards for machines and equipment.
Investigate complaints and repair requests to resolve problems following management rules and regulations.
Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards.
Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary.
Oversee all parts acquisition activities and coordinate with Purchasing Department.
Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
Ensure maintenance support is available as needed.
Remain aware and trained on all technical advancements in the area of responsibility.
Assist and support Facilities and GSE Mechanics with expertise in equipment.
Oversee all parts acquisition activities.
2 year degree preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering
Minimum 4 years of related work environment
Requires a general knowledge of electronics and electrical systems to include basic electrical repairs as needed or directed.
Proven previous supervisory/leadership experience
Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish
Ability to effectively manage diverse staff
Strong records maintenance skills
Well-organized and methodical
Be able to work without close supervision
Hands on with skills and agility to conduct maintenance personally as needed
Requires a broad knowledge of mechanics, controls, electricity, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related tools and equipment, together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, handbook formulas, and all varieties of precision measuring instruments and the use of broad training in heavy maintenance trade.
Exhibits working knowledge of health and safety requirements
Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Internet search engines
