The Advantest America Inc. (AAI) facilities manager is accountable for the Advantest facilities in the Americas. The position reports directly into the Vice President of Operations and requires close cooperation with the AAI Environmental Health and Safety manager, the San Jose security manager, the legal team, as well as with the human resources department. Specific accountabilities are:
  • Optimize the return on investment in facilities
  • Optimize facilities operational expenses
  • Optimize facilities up-time
  • Create/maintain a workplace where people enjoy working and become innovative and are most of all productive
  • Build/maintain a high performance team
  • Establish/maintain a supplier management process to optimize supplier performance
  • Establish/maintain a customer focused closed loop work order management process to assure satisfaction of internal customers
  • Manage day-to-day facilities operation (building management, parking etc.)
  • Create improvement results which match the expectations of the Advantest corporate social responsibility program
  • Main contact for landlords
  • Build a harmonized process for all AAI facilities, existing, acquired facilities and new
  • Regularly review/proposals for “insource or outsource” with respect to facilities
  • Manage business fundamentals (Comply with all regulations, budget management, employee management, …)
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
o College graduate or equivalent preferred
o Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working as a facility or operations manager
o Successful management of contractors, service providers, permitting agencies, repairs/maintenance personnel, etc.
o Demonstrated results in process improvements (for example work orders, supplier management, operating expenses, other)
o Capability to create result by working with a senior management team, using facilities team resources and by solving issues directly yourself

Preferred:
o Existing network of silicon valley area suppliers
o Experience in Advantest’s industry or related industries
o Management of multiple facilities inside and outside the U.S
o Experience in creating a high performance team
