ARAMARK Refreshment Services has a need for an experienced Facilities Project Manager to facilitate the planning and execution of facility relocations and modifications of our network of distribution operations centers across the US and Canada. The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge of logistics and distribution operations along with tangible experience with capital projects, construction management, facilities operations and real estate negotiations.

This is a highly visible position interacting with corporate functional resources, business unit executives and the highest levels of field operations leaders. The Facilities Project Manager will be in the rare position to gain exposure to the full breadth of field operations within the business unit, benchmark other ARAMARK operations and network with available corporate resources.

Manages property portfolio consisting of 100+ leased properties and acts as liaison with corporate Real Estate group in all real estate transactions at the business unit level.
Partners with regional VP Operations and local District Manager to facilitate the facility design, construction and start-up of distribution operations.
Analyze work force utilization, facility design, and operational data to develop optimal solutions for operations.
Assist in site selection and evaluation of new or acquired property
Develop and implement plans for facility modification such as office and warehouse layout design, equipment purchase and change in space allocation or structural design.
Creates and executes facility processes and standards as part of a planning resource guide for operations leaders.
Defines scope of services by all parties involved in the project.
Facilitates selection of general contractors and equipment vendors.
Facilitates planning and definition of construction activities.
Defines contractor scope of work and assists in vendor selection.
Participates in job walks and review of contractor estimates and plans.
Ensures construction activities conform to the specifications and drawings and utilizes project change management as necessary. Reviews key design changes with contractors and operations management team.
Coordinates (with contractor representative) and monitors all construction activities through regular communication and on-site visits as required.
Monitors costs, updates the project schedules and reviews change orders.
Assist with startup activities (including logistics planning for deliveries/installations and safety reviews).
Overall responsibility for execution of safety, funding, scheduling, quality, construction, commissioning and startup activities.

Qualifications:
Requirements:
BS Engineering or other technical training
5+ years facility project management experience, including construction and building modification
Travel requirements will range between 20%-40%

Ability to create warehouse and office facility plan layouts to maximize safety, labor efficiency, and space utilization.
Ability to travel to job sites across the United States and Canada for short term assignments.
Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects and managing activities remotely.
History of successfully completed projects, on time and within budget.
Knowledge of OSHA, cGMP, material handling and warehouse design best practices, including LEAN principles.
Knowledge of industry and design standards for warehouse and office construction.
Experienced in detailed work planning, prioritization and resource assignment.
Demonstrated good problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrated strong, visibly effective, facilitative leadership reflecting sound and responsible judgment.
Ability to multi-task and respond to changes in work priorities.
Strong commitment to working in a team environment and able to develop strong interpersonal relationships.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely and with professionalism.
Demonstrated leadership and commitment to operational excellence and incident and injury free performance.
