By the end of 2013 the Boulder office will incorporate over 90,000 sq ft of office space as well as 15,000 sq ft of data centre space. Boulder is a key product support office for Markit and is a growth location within the firm’s global strategy.
You will be supporting an office with a staff potential of up 540 colleagues and ensuring that problems are identified and resolved quickly, that contractors deliver quality services and preventive maintenance, and that safety measures are being performed. In emergency situations or abnormal conditions, you respond to any performance issues and outages to minimize the recovery time from failures.
Duties & accountabilities
Ownership of all Hard and Soft Facilities contracts and services, preventative maintenance, Health and Safety Compliance and deployments of:
• HVAC Systems
• UPS Systems
• Electrical distribution and control and monitoring Systems
• Capacity management including expansion projects
• Service Contracts/relationships
• Planning and execution of any local city legislation changes.
Department overview Markit’s Infrastructure Facilities team consists of 10 professionals supporting over 3000 users globally. Although few in number, staff are based in 5 major locations (London, New York, Dallas, Amsterdam and Noida) which allow the Facilities team to provide regional support to all office locations and product groups.
The aim of the Facilities team is to deliver a globally consistent operational model with consolidated toolsets and compliant processes across Markit. Facilities are organised on a Global and Regional basis with the appropriate capabilities in each area to meet the business needs and drive the most efficient organisation.
