SAIC has a job opening for a Facilities Manager in Kihei, Maui, HI. This is a contingent position with an award expected in the January 2012.

Job Description: The Facilities Manager will design, plan and manage all aspects of the facilities function for the Maui High Performance Computing Center (2 Facilities) which may include but is not limited to maintenance, equipment, machinery, construction, building space allocation and layout, office services, leased properties and furnishings, and communication services. The Facility Manager will plan, budget and schedule facilities modifications and moves, including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisition. Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance with established specifications and to comply with company and/or government regulations. Works with senior management to assign personnel to various projects, including office moves, rearrangements, modifications, preventive or remedial maintenance. Maintains occupancy records and provides information to accounting for allocation billing. The Facility Manager will have additional responsibilities which will include the following: Facility Safety OSHA Compliance Material Management Hazardous Material Management Excess/Retired Equipment Program MHPCC Recycling Program Government Furnished Equipment Inventory Management.

Qualifications:
Required Education/Skills: Bachelors degree in related field and 8+ years related experience in the management and deployment of government/ Air Force facilities and in providing technology program support. An additional 5 years of experience may be substituted for the bachelors degree. Experience managing facility safety programs and knowledge of government compliance requirements; experience supporting engineering programs and interacting with engineers and scientists to address programmatic needs; experience providing material and inventory management support for technology development programs.

Active Secret Clearance is required.
