Responsible for the operation of distribution systems, wells and pump stations, includes chemical feed equipment, pumping and power equipment, sample collection and lab analysis, all to assure compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act regulations.
Responsible for the operation of collection system, sewage treatment plants, which includes chemical feed and treatment equipment, pumping and power equipment, sample collection and sludge disposal to assure compliance with all DEP and EPA regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Maintenance of equipment at the well and pump facilities.
Operation and maintenance of distribution systems including mains, valves, hydrants and services.
Maintenance of equipment at the treatment plant and pumping stations.
Operation and maintenance of sewer collection systems including collection mains and pump stations.
Troubleshoot and repair Company service piping and appurtenances.
Work overtime as required.
Understand and follow the Company’s safety program.
Conducts basic public relations in customer contacts.
Noting and reporting unusual conditions in the distribution system.
Observe construction and direct contractors on water and wastewater installations.
Must be capable of lifting up to 85 lbs.
Perform all other tasks as assigned by the Manager.
Must have a current valid driver’s license. Candidate must have the ability to work a Sunday through Thursday work schedule.
Required to get either a Class C Water or Wastewater license within 24 months of employment.
Requires a high school graduate or the equivalent.
