Prairie St. John's, a 91-bed psychiatric care facility located in
Fargo, North Dakota, has been providing services for children,
adolescents and adults to address mental health issues, chemical
dependency or addiction and co-occurring disorders since 1997.
Prairie offers a full-service psychiatric and addiction Continuum of
Care. This Continuum of Care includes inpatient hospitalization,
partial hospitalization, residential treatment, intensive outpatient
services and clinic services. Prairie St. John's currently has a
Facility Systems Technician position available. The candidates
selected will be responsible for the following:
The Facility Systems Technician assists in managing performance and
security for all UHS systems within the facility. The incumbent
implements UHS Corporate IT and HIPAA policies and standards,
ensuring adherence to security procedures; trains users on systems
operations and procedures; completes requested CAR-PAC’s to
submit to corporate; provides technical support services for all
software and hardware associated with the enterprise network
including but not limited to: LAN/WAN, internet, video conferencing,
remote access, workstations, printers, communications systems,
security cameras, and all other electronic equipment.
• Ensures effective support for software, hardware, network
and phone system.
• Updates workstations hardware and
software effectively and timely.
• Installs new equipment
with appropriate peripherals and software to staff.
Maintains the facility’s file server backup systems.
• Performs equipment repairs
• Monitors work order
system for specific daily tasks
• Establish and maintain
• Orders computer equipment to maintain
• Ensures conformance with corporate
information systems standards and objectives
• Acts as a
liaison of UHS Corporate IT&S
• Trains staff as needed
for appropriate hardware and software usage.
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and looks for ways to improve
and promote quality.
• Effectively handles frequent
change, delays, or unexpected events and changes approach or method
to best fit competing demands
• Approaches others with
respect and consideration regardless of their status or position and
works collaboratively with their time commitments.

• Instrumental in assisting with any software/hardware

Position Requires: Associate Degree in computer related field and
2 years experience, or equivalent combination of education and work
experience. Previous experience with LAN/WAN and support of computer
and communications hardware is required. Knowledge of analog,
digital, and VOIP phone systems is preferred.
