Duties And Responsibilities

& Minimum Requirements:
Provides administrative and secretarial support services to, on average, ten (10) full-time law faculty members to whom assigned. Works directly with assigned faculty providing Microsoft related application work, answering telephones, maintaining calendars, photocopying, faxing, receiving visitors, arranging travel , scheduling meetings and/or conferences, updating web pages, Lexis/Nexis and Westlaw research, and maintaining TWEN and Courseware sites, etc.

Performs tasks directly from assigned faculty and, at direction of Faculty Assistant Operations Supervisor and/or the Faculty Assistant Training Supervisor, supports other faculty to whom not assigned, as well as others who are authorized to have work done by this department. Incumbent may also be assigned projects or tasks from the Assistant Director of Faculty Support/Journal Administration, the Director of Faculty Support / Journal Administration or the Assistant Dean of Administration

Requirements: Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, a combination of education and three to four years practical experience will be considered. Proficiency in Word applications is required, as well as an understanding of other Microsoft applications, familiarity with laser printers, fax machines, photocopiers, and transcription equipment. Prior experience in support functions. Experienced in practical application of customary office practices, procedures and techniques relevant to assigned task. Incumbent must also have effective verbal and grammar skills.
