The Faculty Club Server is responsible for a flawless table service which consists of constant guest interaction and opening and closing of guest checks. Also, maintaining Faculty Club appearance from set-up to break-down. CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Must be professional in both appearance and manner and adhere to Columbia grooming standards and policies. - Execute job related responsibilities as required or assigned. - Execute guest related tasks such as greeting guests according to Faculty Club Standards; explain menu/food/drinks, take orders and open and close checks. - Must have a clear knowledge of menu items including ingredients, and preparation of those items. Inform guests of specials and menu changes. - Retrieve food from kitchen and replenish buffet & guest tables as needed. - Execute any equipment requests as needed, maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times, collect dirty glasses, silverware and china; collect soiled linens and return to linen room. - Report equipment shortage or problems to supervisor on duty. - Assist with Faculty Club set ups which includes but not limited to moving tables & chairs. - Perform storage tasks including the organization of supplies to maintain proper stock levels; stock shelves and counter area for the next service period; check all incoming stock against previous requests; ensure proper storage of all service items and replenish all service items.
Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant
High School diploma and/or its equivalent required. Varied restaurant and food service experience.
