FACULTY GOVERNANCE ADMINISTRATOR, Office of the President, to perform high-level staff support for the faculty governance system and serve as liaison between senior administration and the faculty. Will serve as staff to a number of standing and ad hoc committees, including the Faculty Policy Committee, the Committee on Nominations, and the Edgerton and Killian Award selection committees; monitor issues for inclusion on agendas, write and disseminate minutes, advise on policy and process, and manage all logistics; create agenda, manage process, and liaise with presenters for the monthly Institute faculty meetings; monitor issues for inclusion on the agenda and participate in the preparation of legislation and other presentation materials; provide logistical support for faculty appointment, promotion, and tenure review process; manage the process of filling the rosters of presidential committees; manage the Institute committees and faculty resources websites; and receive and review complaints and concerns related to the faculty term regulations.

REQUIREMENTS: a bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred); at least four years of higher education administration experience; excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail; ability to anticipate needs and set priorities, assume responsibility, and work both independently and as part of a team; ability to handle many tasks simultaneously and quickly; and tact and discretion. Knowledge of Robert's Rule of Order helpful. Experience working with faculty strongly preferred. Macintosh experience and strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, FileMaker, Dreamweaver, Drupal, and PowerPoint preferred. MIT-00009374-P
