Vice Chair for Academic Affairs. East Tennessee State University's Quillen College of Medicine's Department of Internal Medicine seeks ABIM board certified candidates with an established track record of personal scholarship at the Associate Professor or full Professor level to serve as an integral part of the department's leadership team as Vice Chairman of Academic Affairs. The Vice Chair will be responsible for mentoring junior faculty toward academic success, increasing departmental productivity in peer-reviewed publications, promoting involvement in national professional organizations, promoting research activities, and identifying/creating collaborative opportunities for faculty within the ETSU community and nationally/internationally. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational and motivational leadership skills. Up to fifty percent of non-clinical, salaried time will be allocated to serve in this leadership role with the remainder of time to be spent in clinical practice.
