Eden Prairie School District is seeking applicants for the Familink Community Resources Center Coordinator. This position is responsible for providing direct intake, referral and follow up services for callers and “walk-in” clients at the Familink office site currently located in the City of Eden Prairie’s Office of Housing and Community Services. The Coordinator will:

Maintain knowledge and inventory of local resources and provide ongoing updates of resources for Eden Prairie residents.

Build a broad community network to develop a coordinated responsive human service system for EP residents.

Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with city, schools, community agencies, churches, businesses and apartment complexes in Eden Prairie.

Be a representative on local committees and task forces, and forums.

Facilitate monthly Immigrant Services and co-facilitate the Immigrant Tutoring Collaborative.

Participate on community groups and meetings including EP4Y (Eden Prairie for Youth; A Prevention Collaborative), and Hennepin South Services Collaborative Self Sufficiency Coordination Team.

Assist with Eden Prairie Schools in the Local Collaborative Time Study (LCTS) grant processes and provide information to FamiLink Advisory Council.

Respond to the community’s identified needs as well as gaps and barriers to services and supports.

Be assigned special projects as directed by the City and Eden Prairie Schools.

Eden Prairie is a school district with approximately 1,500 employees serving 9,800 students. The district is recognized for its quality initiatives and its leadership in educational programming.

Minimum Position requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in child development, social work, parent education, child life specialty or human development.

Background in parent education and child development.

Licensed social worker, licensed psychologist, and licensed school nurse preferred.

Demonstrated ability to work with families of a variety of cultures.

Knowledge of community, regional, and national resources.

Experience providing individual guidance, coaching, individualized problem-solving skills, group work and crisis management.

Knowledge and understanding to work with families with children that have special needs.

Knowledge and understanding of the special education process.

Experience in locating services and education to families with children receiving new educational or medical diagnosis.

Demonstrated conflict resolution and cross-cultural skills.

Excellent interpersonal, written, oral communication and facilitation skills.

Organizational and leadership skills.

Ability to understand county and local service systems and their fiscal structures.

Ability to use technology as a tool.

Starting Salary:
Regionally competitive salary based on education & experience
