This position is time-limited, grant funded, full-time.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies:
Knowledge of: the court process and specifically family and child support courts; available community resources; and child/family dynamics.
Ability to: communicate effectively orally and in writing; give presentations; establish a rapport with individuals served; multi-task; problem solve; develop new projects and groups to accomplish program goals; and work with various organizations and committees to accomplish program goals and objectives.
Skills in: interviewing to obtain information in person or by telephone; conducting individual and multi-party consultations; case management; building and maintaining community partnerships; public speaking and resource development.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Graduation from a four year college or university with a major in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or other human services area and two years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Management prefers candidates with knowledge of court processes in family and child support courts, availability of community resources, and child and family dynamics. Interview skills, experience in conducting individual and multi-party case consultations, and case management experience, building and maintaining community partnerships, public speaking, and resource development skills also desired.
Skills in developing informational/marketing brochures and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel strongly preferred.
