Plans and conducts center parent meetings in coordination with the local office/center director. Maintains meeting minutes and other related re-cords.

Conducts outreach activities (door to door, migrant camps) to recruit Pro-gram eligible children.
Informs applicants of all services available through the Program and Te-lamon Corporation.
Prepares intake/enrollment applications, documents eligibility informa-tion, and determines eligibility for the Program and USDA programs.
Establishes rapport with participating individuals/families. Assesses fam-ily needs and initiate plan of action. Conducts home visits.
Provides follow-up contact with families who have moved from the area to provide continuity of services.
Maintains accurate, updated family/child records; maintain confidentiality.
Maintain 100% enrollment. Monitors attendance daily and follow up on absenteeism to ensure 85% average daily attendance. Maintains waiting list of approximately 10% of enrollment.
Works with Disability Staff to ensure 10% of enrollment is reserved for children with disabilities.
Monitors program compliance with family and community partnership re-quirements. Documents observations. Provides reports to supervisory chain as requested.
Coordinates with local office supervisor when recruiting, hiring and evaluating subordinates. Supervises daily activities and evaluates performance of subordinates. Monitors and documents observations. Schedules regular meetings with Family staff and local office supervisor where required.
Works with staff, clients and representatives of other agencies in organizing and conducting community activities.
Conducts annual community assessment.
Attends community meetings, agency meetings and other gatherings to exchange information and acquaint others with Telamon services.
Works with local school representatives and service providers to identify potential clients and to aid a smooth transition of the children into the school system.
Refers families to public or private agencies for services.
Counsels individuals about any needs for referral to other community re-sources. Assists families with scheduling appointments. Provides follow-up to ensure completion.
Maintains working relationships with agencies, providing needed services. Negotiates agreements as needed.
Arranges transportation for participants to agencies for supportive services when necessary. Transports participants as needed.
Arranges translation services when needed.
Mobilizes matching/inkind funds.
Recruits parent and community volunteers for all center activities.
Maintains accurate records of all activities performed by volunteers and community donations.
Related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field or four year’s combination of training/experience in social work or related field. One year experience in a su-pervisory position. Knowledge of community resources. Bilingual ability in English/Spanish required. No citations for child abuse or neglect. Outreach ex-perience desirable.
Must pass Physical and TB test. Must pass drug screening where mandated by program requirements. Ability to: travel, communicate effectively, to analyze and solve problems, use personal computer, sit for extended periods, work ex-tended hours. Perform multiple tasks, meeting deadlines. Occasional light lift-ing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office, Child care center environment depending upon location. Dress according to policy.
