The Family Support Center is composed of Counseling and Guidance, Enrollment, Attendance, Family Services, Health and Wellness, Prime Time After School Program and community based organizations to provide additional supports. The purpose of this group is to make sure all services are reaching the students and families that need them directly and effectively.
The Family Support Center provides assistance for students who are experiencing difficulty in and out of the classroom, by developing life and academic tools that will help them become successful at school and make attending college a reality for their future.

E = Essential Functions

Read, write and speak the English and Spanish language as well as facilitate meetings in English and translate to Spanish. E
Act as office receptionist; schedule appointments, meetings, and events while maintaining an efficient, organized, family friendly office. E
Enroll and transfer students; verify and process student absence and attendance data. E
Organize and independently maintain standard and specialized operational records and files. E
Uphold GPA culture at all times. E
Explain policies and procedures to students, staff, parents and the public. E
Input student information into school database and generate a variety of reports. E
Verify and process student absences and attendance data; enroll and transfer students. E
Prepare standard and special correspondence, bulletins, notices, and reports in Spanish and English. E
Proofread and verify accuracy and completeness of documents and reports. E
Operate a variety of office equipment including a computer, fax machine, and copier; prepare masters for photo copying and duplicate materials. E
Assist with first aid for students in the absence of the school nurse. E
Supervise students before and after school, during transitions to each period and during lunch as outlined by supervisor. E
Meet project deadlines. E
Other duties as assigned. E WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Valid TB test and Live Scan required upon employment
