Great opportunity to join our Guidance Center CSA Program and provide home based clinical services to children and families as a therapeutic training and support worker. Gain an understanding of community based mental health treatment while working as part of a Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative multi-disciplinary team. The Family Support Worker reports to the Senior Intensive Care Coordinator and is responsible for providing intensive outreach support, advocacy and treatment for high-risk families. S/he functions as a member of the clinical team, providing support, treatment and case management services to clients and families with a focus on mentoring children. Position offers orientation, training, peer support, and supervision. Must be willing to have a flexible work schedule, including some evening and weekend hours.

Required Skills

Minimum of six months working with children and/or adolescents with emotional difficulties and their families experience required. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office, required. Flexible hours and the ability to work both independently and in a team are required. Bilingual (English and either Spanish or Haitian Creole) preferred. Must have valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for local travel. Male candidates encouraged to apply!

Required Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in social work or related field preferred.
