The Family Worker is responsible for connecting local families with resources in the community. He or she is a positive adult role model who can set limitations, work with struggling families and give praise in a caring manner. Above all, the Family Worker is the primary meaningful and therapeutic relationships with the families in the community who need a little extra support. He or she must have a special understanding of the importance of family.

The ideal candidate for this position must be 21 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, can lift up to 50 pounds, and cannot appear on the child abuse registry or have a criminal record that reflects an offense against a child or vulnerable adult. A bachelor's degree in a related Human Service field, previous experience working with youth, and a driving record with no more than two moving violations in a three-year period and no DUI within the last five years are all highly preferred. In addition, he or she must be a mature, responsible adult role model and have a genuine interest in working with families. Effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
