Work closely with the Washington Office Director and Federal Affairs staff to
' Schedule meetings, briefings and events for WCS leadership, WCS experts and the Washington Office Director
' Provide administrative and office management support to the Washington Office Director
' Organize and coordinate federal policy messaging and report analytics between the Washington Office Director and the Bronx Zoo-based Online Team
' Process and track internal billing
' Draft correspondence and conduct relevant research
Conduct regular scheduling for WCS leadership, WCS experts and the Washington Office Director while maintaining a Washington Office Calendar
Coordinate briefings, events, receptions and VIP activities
Assemble and distribute outgoing correspondence and materials including but not limited to briefing folders, letters, faxes and e-mails
Organize and coordinate messaging and report analytics across various social networks with the Bronx Zoo-based Online Team as it relates to federal policy and legislation.
Process and track internal billing. Maintain relationships with service/supply vendors and WCS Accounts Payable Office.
Maintain reception area and phones duties.
Maintain various databases including but not limited to e-mail lists and electronic files.
Coordinate Washington Office Metrics.
Work on projects at the discretion of the Washington Office Director.
Masters degree, preferably in political science or environmental studies
At least 2 years experience including Capitol Hill experience
Advanced organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task
Project management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and communications skills, both written and verbal
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
