Job Description: i360 is seeking Federal Oracle Database Administrators (DBA) to support a federal client to provide support of an existing 11.5.10.2 Oracle Federal Financials environment. This project will on-board for a December 1, 2013 start.

Expected duties:
Provide Application Security: Provide proactive administration along with auditing user activity
Manage concurrent application processing
Support application users with application connectivity issues
Review vulnerabilities, develop implementation plan, and install patches as they become available
Ensure Database Administrator (DBA) accounts are not used for non-DBA activities.
Comply with all security and certification and accreditation requirements in the staging and production environments

Provide Database administration support: Perform DBA Space Management for database(s)
Recommend changes to the client
Implement changes within approved time schedule
Maintain optimal database performance
Keep users informed of issues which impact system performance
Ensure the most cost effective use of system resources
Test and apply Oracle security patches
Coordinate with system administrators and functional community
Analyzing table space usage for extents and input/output (I/O) usage and making recommendations for changes to the client
Performing database backup and recovery operations; ensuring the integrity of the database
Applying Oracle recommended patches and version upgrades
Planning the database growth and tuning the database
Administering Oracle Discoverer, i.e., creating business areas, work books, and developing reports; maintaining control over users access to data, user privileges, and query performance
Maintaining databases, i.e., create databases and table spaces, monitoring table space sizes, managing indexes, administering user roles, performing Ad Hoc queries, and managing archive logs
Provide report for every system outage, to indicate start and stop time, reason for outage, and solution
Maintain Disaster Recovery Environment
Update Disaster Recovery Plan
Provide support to the client during contingency or emergency operations
Develop scripts to automate processes

Provide hardware & software support: Provide support for database, application, and hardware in the production, training, staging, test, and development hosted environments
Provide tuning and performing backups, database tuning and backups, system patching, and other information assurance compliance
Load all applications and COTS software within the test and development environments, and assist the clients system administrators in loading application, and COTS software within the Production, Staging, and DRE servers

Maintain development application and Data Base (DB) SUN servers to provide a testing and development environment which closely mirrors the production environment in order to accommodate testing of operating system, Oracle Financial Applications and DB changes, patches and upgrades required
System Administrative services will include but not be limited to basic administration of systems, applications and databases, UNIX installation and upgrades, installation of UNIX patches, UNIX security assessments, backup and recovery, system monitoring and performance, and custom UNIX scripting and programming.
Support test environments
Ensure programming necessary for update of interfaces to meet API changes
Test all software upgrades to database environments as well as working with system administrators in planning, testing application functionality, and implementing any Operating System upgrades/patches to ensure no adverse system impact results from server changes.
Provide troubleshooting expertise and defect resolution to assist team during development and testing phases
Support unit and integration testing, assist in providing documented results
Provide specifications and standards for migration and deployment activities
Follow and recommend improvements to configuration management processes based upon best practices'

Federal Oracle Applications DBA- Must be DOD Clearable
Demonstrated prior experience in administration and use of Oracle Database, Oracle Middleware, and Oracle Applications in a Federal environment

Demonstrated prior experience supporting Oracle EBS 11i environment
Demonstrated prior experience supporting: Configurations within an n-Tier enterprise architecture and network topology
UNIX based servers running Solaris 10
Network Connectivity via NIPRNET and the Local Area Network (LAN)
Oracle Application Server 4.0.9
Oracle Database Version 11g (11.2.0.2.0)
Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2
Microsoft Windows Vista/Windows 7 client workstations

Demonstrated prior experience in configuring database, application server, and Oracle EBS 11i environment including: Oracle RAC
Data Guard
RMAN
Access Management
Security
Installing Patches

Demonstrated prior experience in designing fail-over and disaster recovery plans
Demonstrated prior experience with Oracle Database Tuning techniques including but not limited to analysis of system memory, system disk usage, operating system performance parameters and hardware configuration
Prior experience developing technical design documents including interface control documents, data mappings, architectural and engineering diagrams, flow and relational diagrams
Demonstrated prior experience using configuration management tools
2 years experience supporting or implementing Oracle 11i applications
Proficient in PL/SQL, SQL, UNIX shell scripting
Prior experience supporting or implementing Oracle applications in a Federal environment is preferred

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent related experience
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and technical skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Must be able to clear a federal background check, existing clearance is a plus
Must be a US Citizen

OCP or OCA certification is a plus
