The Federal Tax Manager will prepare, review and do analysis of the US federal income tax returns for domestic and foreign subsidiaries using the CorpTax tax preparation software system.
Significant ongoing project-oriented tasks (such as new tax laws, tax positions and process improvements) are an equally important purpose of the position.
Preparation of US corporate income tax forms. This includes developing processes to optimize preparation efficiencies and minimize income tax liabilities.
Preparation of quarterly estimate and extension calculations.
Preparation of timely and accurate responses to IRS Information Document Requests
Assisting the Senior Audit Manager with IRS inquiries.
Reconciliation of return to provision analysis incorporating an understanding of the tax reporting process.
Preparation of accurate research memoranda regarding tax issues as they arise.
BS in Accounting required, CPA preferred.
MS in Taxation /Accounting or Law degree preferred, but not required.
Minimum of 7 years of corporate or Big 4 income tax experience with US outbound international tax experience preferred. A mix of public accounting and large corporate income tax department (Fortune 500) experience would be ideal.
Working knowledge of tax reporting responsibilities (FAS 109, FIN 48)
Previous significant experience with tax preparation software- CorpTax preferred.
SAP ERP experience preferred.
Strong Excel spreadsheet skills required.
Strong interpersonal communication abilities both written and oral are required.
