Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position performs daily field auditing services for the Racing Division of the MGC.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Daily audit and reconciliation of pari-mutuel and/or simulcasting activity at licensed racetrack facilities
• Inputs designated data using the current Financial Reporting Software (FRS) application
• Investigates and reports on variances

Qualifications:Key Attributes of the successful candidate(s):
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to read, research, and implement pertinent legislation
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
• Ability to interact with racetrack licensee personnel
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Knowledge/Skills required:
• Previous similar experience in a local, state, or federal government agency setting
• Based on assignment, travel may be required. Those employees who elect to use a motor vehicle for travel must have a current and valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's license or the equivalent from another state.

Knowledge/Skills preferred:
• Previous experience with the current Financial Reporting Software (FRS) application strongly preferred
• Experience with other relevant office software applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Access
• Previous racetrack industry experience

Comments:
The recommended candidate will be required to pass an extensive background check including credit check, CORI and drug screen
