Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position performs daily field auditing services for the Racing Division of the MGC.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Daily audit and reconciliation of pari-mutuel and/or simulcasting activity at licensed racetrack facilities
Inputs designated data using the current Financial Reporting Software (FRS) application
Investigates and reports on variances

Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to read, research, and implement pertinent legislation
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
Ability to interact with racetrack licensee personnel
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Previous similar experience in a local, state, or federal government agency setting
Based on assignment, travel may be required. Those employees who elect to use a motor vehicle for travel must have a current and valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's license or the equivalent from another state.
Previous experience with the current Financial Reporting Software (FRS) application strongly preferred
Experience with other relevant office software applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Access
Previous racetrack industry experience
The recommended candidate will be required to pass an extensive background check including credit check, CORI and drug screen
