This position is responsible for contributing to the retail Partnership Program. This position will work with the partnership practices on the patient journey along with the day-to-day operations of the office.
The Field Specialist must be the in-office expert on effective patient management in private practice, product technology, sales and counseling techniques.
Develop and implement an individual hands-on sales training protocols for the audiology and dispensing team with Director of Retail Partners.
1.1 Outline existing best practice sales process for private practice
i. Identify Patient Journey essential elements
Develop sales training and materials to support this process
Provide timeline and determine specific key performance indicators that will show practice progress.
Review sales program development and needs on a quarterly basis
Provide sales training and patient-related solutions to dispensing professionals with best practice approaches. Sales training and professional development activities including but not limited to; documenting current and recommended workflow (patient-type protocols, appointment-type protocol), documenting the current Hearing Aid Consult and sales related follow-up procedures, providing recommendations for enhancing the sales process and patient follow-up processes to include mystarkey.com
Identify existing sales protocols and uncover needs for improving the Patient Journey.
Coordinate individual on-site sales training visits with existing patient schedule and predetermined marketing events.
Support audiology / dispensing team to meet patient needs through various products, consult design and follow-up touch points.
Provide in-office assistance on current Starkey technology, fitting and counseling software and iPad applications as needed.
Coordinate training for the practice with Educational and Training or to coordinate on-site training with the sales team.
Work with the Company’s Education and Training department on the latest proprietary software technology and updates.
Continually assess product and software training needs.
Measure success of sales training through pre-determined key measures tied to the individual performance of the audiology or dispensing professional
Quarterly review of pre-determined Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) with Director of Retail Partners to determine coaching strategies.
Implement a scorecard based on KPI’s for each office. KPI’s to be consistent with private practice best practices (ie, SCOR).
4 year degree or equivalent work experience preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the hearing aid manufacturing field, or medical instrument sales
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Starkey fitting software
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent communication skills required.
Ability to communicate company core values.
Ability to travel 60% of the time, and be away for extended periods of time.
Ability to operate equipment Starkey makes available to customers.
