The incumbent supports elevator and escalator safety and field practices by creating and providing information, bulletins, procedural processes, training and coordination as circumstances require together with account management duties.
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Assist with a wide range of departmental tasks and activities that support the safety and field practices applicable to elevator/escalator installation/maintenance/repair and testing.
Maintain responsive field support to promptly resolve arising problems and take preventative measures where possible to remedy reoccurring problems. Create sketches; provide/review drawings, product data specifications as necessary.
Compile data analysis and reports/solution proposals. Initiate countermeasures to prepare field bulletins, or other communications on safety and field practices.
Training of personnel on methodologies and product applications as required.
Conduct field audits as necessary.
Support account management activities of key accounts as directed.
The non-essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Performs other job functions as assigned.
Bachelor of Science in mechanical/electrical engineering.
Prior experience in mechanical and electrical systems.
Experience in the management of safety operations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Preferably acquainted with using AutoCAD or similar.
Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.
Management retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of the position at any time.
