Proactively deliver category analysis and business implications to sales team, identifying the opportunity to enhance customer/category objectives and those of ConAgra
Work in tandem with Operating group CLM team to increase knowledge and involvement in category and brand development projects Develop and customize corporate category initiatives and plans to drive ConAgra and category sales. Deliver category insights to broader team to develop collaborative business solutions Lead team to exceed best-in-class shelving and distribution targets
Consistently deliver category insights to account in ConAgra priority categories, striving to, or confirming the position of lead vendor within the category review process.
Work with internal partners, retailer contacts to develop and help implement category growth plans
Direct broker partners to develop plan-o-grams in concert with ConAgra shelving standards across priority categories Educate sales team on new item initiatives and category rationale for development Develop proposals for distribution and shelving changes to the account
Ensure category initiatives and plans are delivered to the account on-time and in a consistent, high quality manner
Preferred minimum BA/BS degree and 7+ years experience in the CPG industry, preferably in the sales arena or a combination of sales and syndicated data experience.
Must possess solid knowledge of computers, syndicated data, space management, graphics, spreadsheets, databases and category management tools.
Demonstrate sales planning, and forecasting experience.
Must show aptitude to effectively interpret and use multiple information sources to develop customer-specific tactical plans and options.
Must have strong negotiation skills.
Must have experience in trade spending management; proven fiscal responsibility.
Well developed organizational, communication and time management skills.
