position overview

- The position’s primary responsibility is to lead the local implementation and execution of the annual marketing plans in the local markets in a manner that is consistent with the national brand strategy

duties and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the marketing brand teams, CBU sales force and distributor sales personnel to create and deliver local business plans than are in alignment with brand strategy
  • Evaluate all opportunities to ensure value-creating 360 degree local marketing programs
  • Drive the local business planning process
  • Filter and coordinate communication from marketing to CBU and distributor stakeholders
  • Share best practices across CBU’s
  • Evaluate and manage local budgets to ensure efficient and effective investment in local programs that are aligned with business plans
  • Collaborate with Region Manager’s on management and resource allocation on Team Enterprise and Invision’s headcount
  • Supervise POS development and promotion activation
  • Assist and secure all Power period elements in a timely manner, including media, POS, programming and communication
  • Evaluate, recap and provide feedback to brand and field on Power Period programs
  • Work with media agencies in the planning and buying of local media
  • Develop media strategy per market and brand consistent with brand positioning
  • Assist in training new Bacardi and distributor employees on BUSA brands and portfolio

minimum requirements
  • 4 years at undergraduate (BS or BA); MBA preferred but not mandatory
  • 4-5 years marketing / sales experience
  • Preferred experience in a similar role using a broad range of marketing tools including budgeting, business analysis, advertising, promotion, merchandising, direct marketing, electronic marketing as well as market research and analysis
  • Knowledge in the area of executing brand strategies, marketing mix management, management of creative and promotion process
  • Sound understanding sales and distribution
  • Ability to manage self and working environment
  • Able to persuade and negotiate effectively
