Field Marketing Manager East - UNI10261

This role is responsible for creating and executing regional and local marketing plans that align with the Building Systems long-term strategy and supports annual Sales and Divisional objectives.

The Field Marketing Manager role has three objectives:
  • Translate national marketing initiatives into locally relevant programs focusing on key markets and/or key specialty dealers
  • Develop regionally/locally relevant marketing programs to address a specific need
  • Enable key dealers to better promote and sell USG products
This position will work closely with shared services sales management, divisional sales teams and with our specialty dealer channel partners to customize local marketing programs and provide local marketing guidance. This role is responsible for managing a regional marketing budget and for planning, developing and implementing field events, product and brand marketing promotions; training, local trade shows and other brand-building programs. Additionally, this position is responsible for providing field marketing intelligence and feedback to corporate marketing.

Increase Penetration: Ø

Work in tandem with Sales to develop programs, promotions and platforms that increase share of wallet with key channel partners. Ø

Identify opportunities to increase marketing efficiency through cross-channel alignment Ø

Increase channel revenue through the development of field and channel based programs that drive volume, market share and loyalty in alignment with Building Systems and divisional goals and objectives

Cross-Functional Alignment Ø

Identify and activate the appropriate localization of national marketing initiatives Ø

Establish guidelines, in conjunction with Marketing, Sales and Divisions, that maximize channel development Ø

Serve as an interface between Marketing, Sales and Divisional needs Ø

Work closely with Marketing, Divisions and Sales to ensure successful execution of campaigns and programs on a local level

Channel Support: Ø

Lead ideation and development of channel/account specific opportunities Ø

Manage all aspects of channel specific marketing plans Ø

Identify merchandising opportunities Ø

Develop standard business plan template for channel partners, working with Sales and the Divisions to ensure these plans are completed Ø

Provide updates and communicate trends in the marketplace Ø

Prepare channel reviews based on competitive information Ø

Identify best practice in partner marketing activities and ensure that this is accommodated within the program and shared across the Divisions

Experience working with distribution partners
Has credibility and is respected within his/her field
Results oriented, proven track record
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proven track record as a Sales or Marketing professional
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field. MBA is a plus.
A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a sales or marketing professional or in a related field.
