The Field Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting all lines of business in a local market by developing and executing local marketing strategies in collaboration with local market sales teams, Marketing Product & Communications (MP&C) central service lines (e.g. brand, research, analytics, digital, etc), and the product and enterprise sales enablement teams. This position will serve as the marketing single point of contact/local market relationship manager and will be responsible for local market execution as well as assist in driving the development of differentiation strategies, programs, and objectives locally. To succeed in the role, the ideal candidate will need to: Create Constructive Tension: Build influence & credibility via client management/consultation & effective application of analytics. Create tension by challenging thinking & providing insights. Help internal clients be good consumers of mktg expertise Develop Focused Plans: Develop/execute local marketing plans that identify critical strategic opportunities & place effort on the activities that yield the highest return. Deploy resources based on opportunity Conduct Targeted Activities: develop market specific tactics and determine the targeted support needed. Develop materials that truly focus on & highlight differentiated market value

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

To succeed in the role, the ideal candidate will need to: Examine Performance: Understand sales results & determine growth drivers, e.g. product, geography, client attributes, behavioral drivers, etc. Whats differentiating us & where can we upsell/cross-sell Apply Research: understand research/insights, market analysis & Aetna capabilities to identify targeted segments/sub-segments in which we are positioned to sustain and grow Evaluate Variables: collaborate with product, sales & research to determine which variables, when packaged together, create the greatest likelihood of purchase. Understand market nuances Measure Marketing Effectiveness: Manage/measure activities/campaigns by establishing control groups, testing parameters & measuring effectiveness to determine and adjust approachQualified candidates will have the following experience & skills: 5-10 years of functional marketing experience Proven ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations - in a highly regulated industry Proven client management and leadership skills Understanding of marketing communications, social and digital media principles Effective negotiation and critical decision-making skills, along with the ability to influence others and manage expectations Strong relationship management skills Excellent organization and project management skills Excellent verbal and written communications skills Excellent Presentation / Powerpoint skills Ability to quickly grasp the specific requirements for business partnership Strong analytical skills Experience evaluating business/customer needs, developing and successfully implementing marketing communications that help achieve objectives Results oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities in a systematic way Builds trust by demonstrating high ethical standards and personal integrity Strong work ethic
