Responsible for supporting Account Executives and Business Development Managers in identification development presentation and implementation of customer marketing plans in order to drive sales. Individual must be knowledgeable and have the ability to present all marketing programs such as Technology Mission Target Solution and other key marketing initiatives. As a subject matter expert on Ingram Micro service offerings this individual would be responsible for driving marketing and integrating these offerings through customer marketing plans when applicable. Meet with customers via conference calls as well as face to face to understand customer needs and objectives to develop effective marketing plans. Assist sales in driving profitable growth goals as well as drive incremental marketing dollars from customers and vendors. Be able to research technology needs as well as communicate end -user marketing techniques such as radio television newspaper and local advertising Research customer partnering opportunities and obtain success stories & case studies. Track and monitor sales of supported accounts to ensure sales growth within account base.


Education: Bachelor's degree or 2 years related external experience or 1 year related Ingram Micro experience. Experience: 2-5 years of related industry marketing or sales experience. Supervisory experience preferable and may be required for certain positions. Knowledge of technology products and distribution. Knowledge of general computer applications (MS Word and Excel). Skill in effective communications within all levels of the organizations. Skill in negotiating contracts. Travel may be required. Presentation skills.

  • 1. Consultation

    Act as a consultant for Ingram Micro customers by providing marketing direction and recommendations for marketing activities to grow customer sales. Develop and maintain marketing plans that incorporate customer objectives, strategies and tactics. Work with internal IM marketing departments, including, but not limited to creative services, technical support, credit, customer solutions and partner programs to implement customer marketing plans. Support Sales force in the way of planning events and securing vendor dollars when appropriate. Assist Sales with driving their sales goals where applicable. Assist sales with presentation of Ingram Micro services and recruiting customers into the appropriate programs. Identify and follow through on Case Study opportunities that can be replicated. Provide continuous feedback to Marketing organization from the VARs and assist with identifying new program/services opportunities.
