Under supervision of the Director of field marketing, this position is responsible for developing and executing field marketing programs, promotions and campaigns for both direct and channel routes to market. This position will work closely with the sales and channel organizations to successfully execute marketing programs and marketing activities in the assigned region, including; coordination of lead generation and advertising programs, sales communications, partner support, database development and management, social media, general copywriting, collateral review and production, and events. This position is also responsible for assisting in collaboration with external vendors and agencies as required.

Qualification Requirements:


Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or business administration

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience creating and managing effective direct and channel programs.
  • Develop marketing strategy and integrated marketing programs incorporating appropriate elements to achieve desired outcome.
  • Proven expertise in voice of customer in enterprise technology, including ability to effectively script, position, and educate direct and channel sales teams on the advantages of the Safenet product portfolio.
  • Manage MDF programs with channel partners, including planning, negotiation and tracking of activities and results.
  • The candidate must be sales-focused, responsive, creative, strategic, proactive, and hands on, with the ability to work in a highly matrixed environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :

Strategy, Planning & Budget
  • Build, execute and measure a strategic direct field marketing plan that is based on regional (East, Central/Midwest, West and LATAM) market opportunity and encompasses new business generation, customer retention, customer communications, partner enablement and brand awareness
  • Build and drive creative marketing campaigns to support the company’s strategic initiatives, and ensure they effectively support regional priorities (East, v Central/Midwest v West v LATAM), and maximize qualified lead conversions
  • Build schedule and content for regional webinars to drive awareness and drive opportunities at prospect, customer and partner accounts
  • Build & deliver regional product launch plans for strategic/named accounts, SI, customers, prospects and partners
  • Work with direct sales and channel marketing team to maximize the marketing ROI
  • Alongside the Channel Account Manager (CAM), drive and implement field marketing programs that integrate solution partners, service providers or technology partners into the field go-to-market plans
  • Work with Channel Sales to propose onboarding, training and new partner recruitment strategies.
  • Establish and allocate MDF budget for key partners and propose and project manage all marketing specific to the resellers.
Promotions & Programs
  • Provide comprehensive programs to the field that generates net new leads and helps to uncover new revenue opportunities (ie: webcasts, content syndication, EDMs, sales kits and partner enablement kits)
  • Manage regional event activity (both actual and virtual) including messaging, booth properties, collateral, layout, lead retrieval and follow up
  • Ensure that all partners are properly trained and, when appropriate, certified.
  • Manage, update and promote the partner portal use amongst SafeNet Channel Community
Tracking & Analysis
  • Educate, monitor and drive inside sales & sales on lead follow-up and lead management within SFDC to ensure all marketing leads that turn into opportunities are tracked back to campaign influence
  • Budget management and reporting, and regional budget forecast reporting
  • Manage scheduling and tracking of all events and programs (pre/post)
  • Work with Channel Sales to build channel profile and plans for the region, and track and report on channel revenues
  • Track the promotions and MDF ROI by account and identify the most effective programs for sell-in and sell-through.

Facilitation and Program Management
  • Work with product marketing/management on product launch activity (A, B, C launches), new collateral requirements, speaking engagements, training and much more
  • Work with local sales/marketing team and product marketing to ensure relevant content is available and proper programs are identified and executed upon to accelerate the buyer’s journey to PO.
  • Participate in regional sales meetings to provide updates and actively listen to new requirements and opportunities
  • Work with creative services and product marketing to ensure production of appropriate online and offline content, collateral, educational and merchandising materials are available for flawless execution of field marketing efforts.
  • Advocate for reseller, distributor and channel partner and be the single go to person for partner enablement and empowerment.
  • Initiate programs to educate resellers on SafeNet products (reseller trade shows, reseller regional shows, direct or video training, manage the training groups, etc.).
