The Field Medical Resource Lead is responsible for strategic oversight of Field Medical Resource creation, approval, deployment, monitoring and retirement. Specifically individual will work with MSL therapeutic area/ product leads and team to identify, plan, and oversee the development/deployment of the tools and resources used by US Field Medical Employees (Medical Science Liaisons, Medical Science Nurse Liaisons and Medical Outcomes Science Liaisons) in preparation for and engaging key opinion leaders and health care professionals.
a. Develop criteria and structure for field medical resource use including creation, deployment, use tracking, feedback and updating/retirement
b. Develop resource/tool plan partnering with Field Medical leadership in conjunction with each team’s POA
c. Identify needs through gap analysis (current tools vs. future activity)
d. Coordinate roll out of tools with the Field Directors and strategy leads
e. Oversee training/rollout of developed tools/resources
i. Slide decks, Backgrounders/Talking Points, Posters, Publications, other training materials.
f. Map tool development against POA
a. Oversee business critical tools and resources for field team
b. Proactively coordinate with MSL team product leads
c. Leverage Global slide library repository and other centrally created resources as basis for field tool customization; contribute back to global library with developed resources
d. Serve as backup for slide development and coordinate with MSLs and/or content creation vendor(s)
a. Oversee PRC process; lead submissions and provide response to committee as required
b. Tool utilization analysis – track resource tool use, provide analysis and incorporate into future development plans in partnership with product leads
c. Create structure for and ensure tool use and feedback is incorporated into field insights as appropriate
d. Maintain resource/tool catalog – renew utilized resources & retire outdated
Candidate will have 5+ years of Medical Affairs experience with strong understanding of and/ or experience in the MSL/ MOSL/ MSNL role.
Advanced scientific or clinical degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., MD) is required.
