For work performed on the Fort Berthold Reservation, QEP complies with Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) ordinances in regard to hiring.
Individual will be required to perform operating duties which includes the start up, operation, and maintenance of crude oil/natural gas facilities (i.e., LACT units, oil pipelines, pumps, compressors, dehydration units, separators, heaters, heat exchangers, used water tanks, oil tanks, product loading facilities, pneumatic controllers, locating pipelines in compliance with the state one call system, perform daily activities according to Federal (DOT 192 ) and state requirements, pig pipelines, respond to any emergency or call out situations, participate in the on call schedule, equipment repairs, clean facility, oversee roustabouts, Troubleshooting and preventative maintenance , corrosion control, system integrity, etc.).
Requirements: At least two years of mid-stream oil and gas related experience and /or comparable education and a minimum of one year of applicable experience. Possess a high school diploma/GED and a valid driver’s license. Ability to work independently and in a team with both company and outside personnel. Willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed for project completion and be able to operate a four wheel drive vehicle in all types of terrain and all types of weather conditions.
Knowledge of: Familiarity with tools and materials for repairs, maintenance and construction. Working understanding and ability to utilize basic computer programs including MS Office and Excel. Proficiency in the use of computers for completing calibrations and preparing reports, the ability to read and understand technical documentation, and accuracy when preparing daily and monthly production reports.
Ability to: Able to lift items weighing up to 75 pounds; move items weighing up to 500 pounds with equipment assistance; use various hand tools and hoists; hear; see objects at close range and in the distance; distinguish colors and relationship between objects; apply basic arithmetic; communicate effectively orally and in writing; understand and clarify oral and written instructions; follow company safety practices and policies; handle and maintain confidential information; recognize and respond appropriately to hazardous conditions.
