Covance is currently hiring Field Reimbursement Managers (FRM) nationwide to work in the following regional locations:
*New York City
*New Jersey/Long Island
The Field Reimbursement Manager would be field based and work out of the assigned region.
The FRM works with client contacts and clients’ customers to assist client customers in understanding and addressing reimbursement and access challenges. This position is client-facing and customer-facing and requires a professional who can leverage his/her expertise and experience to provide service programs, educate customers and deepen customer relationships. These services play an important role in clients’ customer relationships as they facilitate access to important patient therapies.
The candidate will hold a Bachelors degree or evidence of continued work toward a degree strongly preferred. Candidates will have strong verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation skills, client savvy, knowledge of business protocol, and time management and organizational skills. Proven leadership ability. Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to “think on his/her feet” and suggest alternatives and solutions. Knowledge of reimbursement policies and hotline database systems, or demonstrates capacity to grasp reimbursement concepts and policies, and hotline systems. Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated analytical skills. Ability to work independently.
Have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record and be available to drive during the day and nighttime. Must live within a reasonable driving distance from a major airport. Must be able to travel regularly for 80% of your work schedule.
The candidate will have at least 3 years’ relevant experience and strong knowledge base in healthcare policy, reimbursement, market access, pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales or marketing, or similar industry. Candidates may be considered if in lieu of the above they posses 1 or more years experience working directly for Covance in a relevant position where their experience is transferrable. Experience with research and analysis, relationship-building (with clients and/or customers), and public speaking. Possesses relevant work experience to conduct site visits, audioconferences, and give presentations.
