mediate need for a Field Representative (Timing & Distribution) at our Norfolk, VA location to provide technical support for the Timing and Synchronization Distribution Systems for the various Naval Computer Telecommunications Area Master Stations (NCTAMS) and Naval Computer Telecommunications Stations (NTCS), which provide communications and network monitoring and control to fleet units and shore commands throughout the world.
This is an extremely challenging, exciting and rewarding technical position supporting worldwide military communications and networking requirements. The ideal candidate would possess outstanding problem solving skills to include experience and proficiency in the following areas:
- System setup and configuration, preventative and corrective maintenance, providing maintenance and operational training, and System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT).
- Candidate must be familiar with data distribution requirements pertaining to GPS signals; GVRC and/or SAASM operations; verification, entering and testing of IP addresses; proficient at operating required test equipment to troubleshoot and verify proper RF timing signals.
- Although not required, Information Assurance (IA) Certification, Instructor certification and prior experience as a technician supporting a NCTAMS or NTCS command is highly desired.

Years of experience required
4-6 years hands-on experience in the troubleshooting and repair of timing and synchronization distribution systems or equivalent electronics systems or equipment
Years of education required
Associates degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or completion of formal resident trade school or apprentice program in electronics, or completion of at least (2) US Navy “C” Schools in electronic equipment or systems.
Secret Security Clearance required
Required Traveling is 10 to 15%
