W R Systems, Ltd. has a potential need for a Field Representative at our customer site in Norfolk, VA to provide on-site maintenance repair and support to the Fleet technical Branch of the Norfolk Ship Support Activity. Support includes system installation, operation, maintenance, and connectivity problems including peripheral, interfaced and support systems.
This is an extremely challenging, exciting and rewarding position at the Norfolk Ship Support Activity (NSSA) in providing troubleshooting and assessment (C5RA and INSURV) support for the following ship board navigation systems and equipment: AN/WSN-7(V) RLGN SURFACE, AN\USQ-82 DMS/FODMS/SDMS, AN/WSN-7B Inertial Navigation System (INS), DEAD REKONING: MK10 MOD0 DRAI, MK9 MOD 4 DRAI, MK6 DRA, MK6 MOD 4 DRT/DDRT; EM LOGS MK4 MOD 1 & 2, MK6 MOD 0, 1 & 2 and Doppler Logs.
Although not required, previous experience working at NSSA, RMC, FTSCLANT or MOTU is a plus.

- In depth knowledge of shipboard IC/Navigation systems to include a minimum of 8 years on-hands experience troubleshooting, repairing and assessing above equipment and systems with at least 2 years minimum on-hands experience with each
- Associates degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or completion of formal resident trade school or apprentice program in electronics, or completion of at least (2) US Navy “C” Schools in electronic equipment or systems.
