This is a forecasted position that will be domiciled in New York City and will be responsible for the territory in the 10010 zip code.
The successful candidate will sell FedEx transportation services (Express, Ground, and International) to potential and existing business customers within a geographically defined territory.
Some of the specific duties are to:
• Meet and exceed revenue goal requirements
• Provide solutions and build rapport with customers using a consultative sales approach
• Grow and maintain customer base within a defined geographic area
• Make sound business decisions with customers through negotiated and established business agreements
• Identify and implement integrated automation platforms and solutions to customer base
• Manage customer interactions and information to ensure continuous and effective business relationships
The following skills are a plus; self-motivated, driven and possess strong time management skills as well as strong verbal / negotiation skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. Business-to-business sales experience in any industry (inside and outside sales combined) preferred. The preferred candidate has additional business-to-business sales experience through which the following key success factors have been developed: sales skills, communication, influence & negotiation, problem solving, and planning & organizing skills. Overnight travel required. Position level commensurate with experience.
